Adam Levine and his Maroon 5 bandmates, bowling at The Dolce Group's Ten Pin Alley in Atlanta. According to a source, the singer was having a ball – maybe because he was bowling a strong game. Levine nearly broke 200, and played "the game of his life." The band also happily posed for pictures with fans at the alley.

Maroon 5, Counting Crows and Sara Bareilles team up for three-headed pop/rock extravaganza
By Randy Shemanski
It's tough to tell which act will be the most popular on Saturday at the Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain.
Up-and-comer Sara Bareilles will open the show and we can only cross our fingers in hopes that she'll play her hit tune "Love Song."
She'll be followed by the co-headlining acts, beginning with the Counting Crows, one of the most popular bands of the past 15 years. The show will close with what is sure to be a rousing set by pop rock sensation Maroon 5.
We're not sure which of those three we're most excited to catch and maybe if we wish upon the right star, Bareilles, Adam Duritz and Adam Levine will all get on stage together at some point.
"I think those three voices together might sound interesting," Levine, frontman for Maroon 5, said during a recent teleconference. "I'm really excited about this tour because there's so many great singers and so many great musicians. I can guarantee there's going to be some sort of collaboration."
With the pop success of singer/songwriter/pianist Bareilles and the multi-platinum rock/punk feel of Counting Crows (led by Duritz), fans will get a good mix to start the show. Maroon 5 will close things out with what many call pop rock, but is probably best described as slightly equal parts soul, funk and rock.
"We straddle this world of pop music and this world of ... I don't even know what it is, but we're very much in this kind of in-between place," Levine said.
So with two star-studded rock bands on the same bill, one might wonder if there are any ego problems. That's certainly not the case on this tour, during which Counting Crows and Maroon 5 will alternate as the closing act on a nightly basis.
"I was happy to be touring with (Counting Crows) because there are so few bands at this point that are touring bands that are for real," Levine said. "There's a lot of smoke and mirror these days, but it's nice to be thought of as the same type of band and we can go out and hit the road and do it the old-fashioned way."

Band members Adam Levine and James Valentine were kind enough to
give us a few minutes of their time while prepping for their North
American jaunt with Counting Crows.
Marooned up at Culver Studios near Los Angeles, the guys rehearsed
on a fully rigged stage (exactly how it will appear on tour) complete
with TONS of lasers — and you can never have too many lasers, as James
pointed out. “I want to have them shoot out of my guitar!” he said.
In between prepping for their upcoming tour, the fivesome has found time to shoot yet another video for the re-release of It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, for the song “Goodnight Goodnight.” They were mum on the details, saying they didn’t want to spoil anything.
“You’ll just have to wait and see. It’s a secret, it’s a surprise,” Adam said.
James added, “Rihanna’s not in it,” in reference to their recent video for “If I Never See Your Face Again” with the good girl gone bad.
So while die-hard Maroon 5 fans will have to wait for the video’s release, they will be treated to a spiced-up live show in the meantime. James told us, “We’ve been touring for a long time, so a lot of these fans have been coming out to see us for a very long time. We don’t want anybody to ever see the same show, so we’re changing it up right now.”

Adam Levine loves to pull pranks on the bands touring with Maroon 5. "We were on tour with the Donnas, and we were partying backstage and we hired male strippers," Levine tells MySpace Celebrity. "So these male cheeseball strippers came in and the Donnas were panicking. These guys kind of looked like cops, enough to fool them . . . Once everyone realized they were strippers, one of the guys plugged in the music to start dancing, and by then everyone was over it, and it was extraordinarily uncomfortable."

As part of their green initiative for the summer tour, Maroon 5 are joining forces with the non-profit organization Vote Solar. Their mission is to 'bring solar energy into the mainstream'. Here's the info from them:
There will be Vote Solar banners up around the auditoriums, and the band is going to make a pitch for folks in the audience to check out the Vote Solar booth in the lobby. The purpose of the booth is to get their fans excited about solar energy, and get them signed-up as Vote Solar activists.
Jesse's sister, Annie Carmichael, is closely involved with this organization. They aim to promote clean air, fight global warming and increase America's energy independence.

The non-profit organization Reverb is working with Maroon 5 and Counting Crows to "green up" this summer’s tour and engage fans to join in. There will be an interactive Eco-Village at each show, starting July 31st in Wantagh, NY.

Here is an extract from an interview with the author of a new book entitled 'Pot Culture: The A-Z Guide to Stoner Language & Life' that has contributions from various celebrities.
Adam Levine is another person that I didn’t expect to see in
there, as Maroon 5 tends to be positioned as a rather mainstream act.
Adam
Levine was a really big Phish fan. He saw a lot of shows when he was in
high school and we got along and first bonded because of that. He
mentioned it somehow and I was like, “You smoke weed, you like Phish,
we’re going to get along great.” I did a story on Maroon 5 for High Times
and the purpose of it was to make them not seem like such goodie goodie
pop TRL guys. They smoke weed and they’re a little more adventurous
than they might sound. After I did the interview with them in High Times, I had a conversation with Adam and asked if he would do “5 Albums To Get High To.” He said yes and it happened. Yay. (laughs).
