Adam at the Waverly Inn - New York

We arrived at the Waverly Inn around 10:30pm. There were about 10 photographers at the beginning of the night waiting for Adam to leave, but as the night approached, the numbers dwindled and Justin was one of few waiting outside. At about 12:45am, it seemed as if Adam wasn’t going to leave. He was the only guest left in the restaurant, along with the manager and one staff member. He was avoiding the photographers to an extreme extent. His car soon pulled up and began to play games with the photographers by pulling up to the back exit of the Waverly, then driving back to the main entrance again and again. By almost 1am, Adam finally gave in and left the restaurant. He was pretty swift to get to his car, so Justin was really quick to get these shots of him.

not that I'm at all a fan of the paparazzi culture, but playing that kind of game is just unneccessary. The harder you make your picture to get, the more valued you become, and the more the paparazzi want your picture.

I don't buy this at all. Now it's just possible that Adam happened to be there and wanted to be left alone but equally I am informed by a reliable source that the Waverly Inn is THE place to be seen in, in NY. If he really doesn't want to get papped then why does he eat there? Why doesn't he eat in one of the lesser known but equally excellent restaurants in NY?
It is also well known that the paps are often tipped off by members of their own entourages and with the consent of the 'papee' (I like that word).
I love Adam don't get me wrong here, I'm not bashing him. But for someone that supposedly guards his privacy from the press, he sure eats in some high profile places. Then again who knows perhaps 'M5 management' are encouraging him to keep his face in the frame in keeping the bands profile high. I guess we'll never know...
Lovely smile Adam. Really sweet x

He doesn't eat at the Ivy because that's not the "in" place anymore. But he certainly did for a time.
Eve is absolutely right. He wasn't waiting for the cameras to leave, he was building up an audience. When he heard they weren't interested anymore and were leaving, that's when he exited.
Eve - remember when we predicted this? After his little Katsuya stunt where he pretended to be running from paparazzi, we said "watch, the next time he's in NYC he'll go to Waverly." This man is so transparent, and it's not because of his weight.

Yup, he's one of those 'not sure if I want to be a celeb all the time' celebs but buckles under the pressure of his ego.
I get that, I'm an attention seeker most of the time too (yeah I'm fighting the paps off lol ;). I do wish he'd stop contradicting his dislike of being a celeb on interviews though. Just be honest Adam. It's OK to say you're a bit of a diva sometimes. Then again that will only garner more attention from the paps and I can't think of anyone who would want more than their fair share (apart from Britney)so I guess he can't win. Mind you I don't think any celeb has ever come clean over their love of attention, who knows perhaps the paps will back off? LOL.
